Lets Go Back

Our Fore-Fathers would have a fit
If they witnessed this shit
We deserve what we get
As we sit in this pit
We had to enlist
And now we can’t quit
Get the first aid kit, ready
We’re about to get hit
Cause we never clinched our fist
We never raised our voice
A whole list of options
And you don’t have a choice
And hour by hour
They’re taking your power
This oil happy coward
Hides behind the day of the towers

Lets go back to the sixties
Get me some hippies
Who have the balls to yell
“You can’t rise up against me”
We will tell them they’re wrong
Peace be the song
Together we’ve drawn
On the governments lawn

So where is the belief
Fuck the commander and chief?
Even when his mouths closed
He still lies through his teeth
He blinds those who see
Trys to make us believe
No tricks up his sleeve
But this is just an anarchy
We don’t really need em’
Can you even call this freedom?
Time to find followers
And it’s my time to lead em’
I won’t disappoint
By making this point
Crank some Bob Marley
And smoke us a joint

And..
Lets go back to the sixties
Get me some hippies
Who have the balls to yell
“You can’t rise up against me”
We will tell them they’re wrong
Peace be the song
Together we’ve drawn
On the governments lawn

Cease this beast
That refuses this peace
Oppress his speech
From his press release
So maybe take a stand
Get your ass off the seat
Maybe you can save your ass
From dying in deceit
So take this advice
From my acoustic device
Don’t roll the dice
Or even think twice
This mans eyes
Are being really shifty
Lets open our mouths
It’s time to get really lippy
Lets take some action
Get this done swiftly
All I know is this shit wouldn’t go down
If I lived in the sixties

So..
Lets go back to the sixties
Get me some hippies
Who have the balls to yell
“You can’t rise up against me”
We will tell them they’re wrong
Peace be the song
Together we’ve drawn
On the governments lawn

I said..
Lets go back to the sixties
Get me some hippies
Who have the balls to yell
“You can’t rise up against me”
We will tell them they’re wrong
Peace be the song
Together we’ve drawn
On the governments lawn

A Pitiful Verse

Painted face
Hollow chest
Quiet and peaceful
Lay me to rest
Remember me
Let me be
Forever unforgotten
As I’m locked in your memory

Lay me down
Lay me in peace
Have this anger be kindled
Have this hate be ceased
Have my mind rest
My soul be at ease
Release it to be free
Back to he who created me

Material goods
Now serve no purpose
My life centered around things
That now are so worthless
I speak to my family
No words can they hear
I should have taken the chance
Back when I had their ear

Can this poem be enough?
Can this fix a life’s worth?
Can I change a lifetime of guilt
Over one pitiful verse?
Please god I beg
Can’t I have one more chance?
I know time must stop
But is this the last dance?

It’s now time for judgement
I’ve never been so afraid
Surrounded by light
Trying to hide in the shade
Trying to escape
Trying to get away
Then I awake…

Today’s a brand new day
